ZUZY is a Polish-Australian songwriter, producer and live-looping performer based on the Gold Coast. Her alternative pop blends electronic textures, funk-influenced grooves, introspective songwriting and a playful sense of humour. Drawing inspiration from migration, neurodivergence, relationships, nature and solitude, she transforms personal observations into songs that are thoughtful, distinctive and emotionally direct.
A recipient of the City of Gold Coast Arts Development Fund, ZUZY is currently releasing her debut three-song project. Her first single, Gravel Road, was released in June 2026, followed by Up To Me in September 2026. Created between Poland and Australia, the project reflects both her Polish roots and the creative life she has built on the Gold Coast.
Whether constructing arrangements through live looping or collaborating with producers across continents, ZUZY combines storytelling, musicianship and an instinct for finding humour in uncomfortable truths.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I write songs about moments and contradictions that are easy to miss: feeling alone without being lonely, leaving one place while carrying it with you, or being given all the power in a relationship only to realise that means doing all the work.
Nature, movement, migration, neurodivergence, relationships and solitude all find their way into my music. Many songs begin with an observation - a walk through the bush, an awkward conversation, somebody refusing to make a decision and calling it easygoing, or a feeling that stays longer than expected.
My work moves between introspection and absurdity. I use songwriting, production and live looping to turn private experiences into something shared, sometimes reflective and sometimes deliberately cheeky.
I’m not interested in providing neat answers. I want to make people feel recognised, entertained and slightly less alone - and occasionally call out behaviour we have all tolerated for far too long.
LIVE PERFORMANCE
ZUZY performs original alternative pop using voice, piano, keyboard, percussion and live-looping technology. Building arrangements in real time, she layers vocals, harmonies, rhythms and instrumentation into songs that develop in front of the audience.
Her performances combine musicianship with personal storytelling, improvisation and dry humour. Each set offers an intimate look at how the music is constructed while giving every performance its own spontaneous character.

UP TO ME (2026)
Up To Me is a cheeky, funk-tinged alternative-pop track inspired by people who refuse to make decisions and call it being easygoing. What begins as romantic frustration becomes a wider reflection on emotional labour, power and the exhaustion of always being expected to choose, organise and carry the relationship.
The track was created between Poland and Australia. It was produced by Polish producer Robert Cichy, with additional production by ZUZY. The vocals were recorded in Poland, while the track was mixed in Australia by Benny D Williams and mastered by Paul Blakey.
Filmed on the Gold Coast by Zane Taprell, the official music video connects ZUZY’s Australian creative life with her Polish roots. It places her at a table filled with Polish food, wearing a floral tracksuit from Poland, as the scene gradually descends into surreal chaos.
Up To Me forms part of a three-song project supported by the City of Gold Coast Arts Development Fund.

GRAVEL ROAD (2026)
Released on 26 June 2026, Gravel Road was inspired by time spent exploring the hinterland of South East Queensland. The song reflects on the restorative power of nature and the importance of slowing down long enough to think, feel and reconnect.
Built around warm melodies and reflective lyrics, Gravel Road captures the experience of leaving behind everyday noise and finding clarity where the sealed road ends. It introduced ZUZY’s original music project and her interest in nature, movement, belonging and the spaces between places.
